Youth Half Marathon – Friday, April 12, 6:30 p.m.
In front of Academy Sports + Outdoor. Plan to arrive by 6 p.m. to pick up your child’s shirt and race bib. Traffic inside the Village at Sandhill will likely be heavy so plan accordingly.You can still register for the Youth Half Marathon if you have completed the full program and logged your miles accordingly. You will register inside Academy Sports + Outdoors. The Youth Half Marathon starts at 6:30 p.m.
Cash and checks are the only accepted forms of payment on event day.
Kids’ Fun Run – Saturday, April 13, 9 a.m. At the Fountain in the enter of the Village at Sandhill. This is a separate event from the Youth Half Marathon. The Kids’ Fun Run is approximately 1/3 mile and is for children age 10 and under. Registration for this event is open during packet pick-up and on race morning.

Packet Pick-Up Packet Pick-up will be held on Friday, April 12, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
INSIDE Academy Sports + Outdoor. It is important that all participants try to pick up their race packet Friday to avoid long waits on race morning.
Teams must send ONE representative to pick-up ALL packets for their group. If you are unable to come Friday, please arrive early for packet pick up on Race Day. Packet Pick-up will be available on race morning from 6 a.m. until 6:45 a.m. Race Registration will be open at Packet Pick-Up and on Race Day. HOW TO ATTACH THE CHIP TO YOUR SHOE LACES: 1. This is a NEW Single Use ChampionChip. 2. You can only use this chip for this event. 3. After the event you can keep it or throw it into our recycle bin. 4. Simply slide the chip on your shoe laces like a paper clip. 5. Secure it to your shoe laces by securely tying your shoes. 6. The chip must lay FLAT on your foot to register properly. (See Picture below.)
FINISH LINE OPTION: 1. At the finish line you will have the option to keep it or throw it away. 2. Throw the chip in our recycle bins to SAVE THE PLANET. 3. This chip will only work for the Palmetto Half Marathon events. Do not use it for any future event.

Parking– The roads inside The Village at Sandhill will be open on Friday night for packet pick-up. However, due to the Youth Half Marathon and a concert series at the Town Center, there will be some delays and closures during the Friday race. We encourage you to use the entrances from North Springs Road or Clemson Road. Ample parking is available within walking distance to Academy Sports + Outdoor for all race participants. Race Day Traffic will be very heavy from 6 a.m. until 6:45 a.m. Please plan to arrive early to avoid any delays in getting to the starting line. Ample parking is available inside the Village at Sandhill on Race Day and we will have parking officials to aid you in finding a spot. PLEASE NOTE – Clemson Road Westbound traffic (coming from I-20) will be merged into one lane of traffic from the Two Notch Road overpass to Promenade Place. Expect delays. The Fashion Drive Entrance to the Village at Sandhill (from Two Notch Road near CiCi’s Pizza) will close at 6:50 a.m. Please plan accordingly. Water Stations and Facilities – Will be available approximately every 2 miles (or less) along the course. Stations will be stocked with water and Gatorade. Bananas and oranges will be available at one of the stations. There will be 4 port-a-potties available along the course (2 on Valhalla Drive and 2 at the intersection of Beaver Dam and Miles Road). First Aid – There will be one First Aid station located on the course. Half Marathon Runners will pass this First Aid station twice at approximately miles 4.5 and 9.5. There will be another First Aid tent located at the finish line. If you feel like you need medical assistance, stop immediately and notify the nearest race marshal or water station. They will call for assistance. Bag Drop – Will be available at the start area and we will transfer the bags to the finish area after the start of the races so you may pick up your items. Please go to the customer service tent for bag drop. Post-Race Refreshments – Awards Merchandise – Extra t-shirts and items from past events will be available for purchase at customer service. Official Race Photos – PBC Sports Photography is the official photographer for Palmetto Half Marathon. 2013 Race Photos will be posted HERE for sale after the race. 20% of the proceeds from photo sales will be donated back to the event.
