All 2016 5K and Half Marathon participants are invited to walk or run in honor of Amanda Peake Glover. Amanda, a dedicated wife and mother of four, was only 32 years old when she collapsed after crossing the finish line of the 2015 Palmetto Half Marathon. We want to pay tribute to her zeal for life at this year's event. Please click below to learn more about the APG – Live Life Loud memorial fund.
The Palmetto Half Marathon (April 8 & 9) is a community movement in which experienced runners and enthusiastic volunteers come together to promote fitness, community involvement and charitable causes. It has become a tradition among Columbia residents, and the Half Marathon event (April 9) is now attracting the attention of elite runners nationwide.
Palmetto Half Marathon proceeds have always gone to charity. The event started out with just one Charity Beneficiary, but in 2013, we expanded our financial support to even more groups within our community. The Charity Partner Program presents a variety of opportunities for local organizations to gain exposure and raise funds. Please take a moment to learn more about how your group can get involved.
